When assisting our teachers and title staff with PRESS interventions, our teachers are wondering where to find these items:

  1. Skills tests 1-5 CSM  for Phonemic Awareness -6
  2. Skills tests 1-4 CC short vowels for Phonics -6
  3. Skills tests 1-4 CC long voewls for Phonics-6
  4. Skills tests 1-4 R-Con vowels for Phonics-6

As well as short passages for P-5 that include:  long vowels, vowel teams, variant vowels and R-controlled vowels.  There are up to 9 word lists for each vowel pattern, thus many passages to try and create.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

I also just tested my students in the red with the decoding inventory and they need the P-5 intervention. When I go to tools for materials I do not see P-5 listed for information.

I think you may be looking for "skill monitoring" in the Assessment Manual.  If you're looking for progress monitoring, that is where the lists are located.  Page 63 in the Intervention Manual will give you the page number for the correlating progress monitoring.

I'm in search for some prepared passages as well.  It seems a little cumbersome to have to create new passages every day!

This past summer, all of the PRESS skill assessments were made available on PRESSCommunity.org for efficient access to our updated resources. Before moving them to the website, all of the assessments were revised to better align the assessments with intervention instruction. The Comprehensive Check assessments for phonics were removed because the skills in those assessments are available in other measures on PRESSCommunity.org. The Combo Sound Manipulation assessments for use with PA-6 are under review at this time. For further support from a PRESS Literacy Specialist please post your question on the Coaching Tab at PRESSCommunity.org.
