One of our groups is on PA-5 changing the initial sounds. We tested a student today and when we gave her the word, she would say the word but couldn't change the initial sound to make the new word BUT when the teacher sounded out the word and said b-u-g she could change the sound and say the word right away. Is this okay? Can we move her on or does she just need to change it after saying the whole word? Any info you can give me would be appreciated!
