When students read those word list on the skill monitoring assessments, are they supposed to read a certain number of words or are we just looking at accuracy? Shouldn't we consider both before moving them forward? If so, how many should a student read in one minute? I get the accuracy part. I also understand that if they are sounding all of them out, then they are not ready to move on either.
